Friendship Spiced Tea and Tater Chip Cookies Mix Gift Jar Recipes

Friendship Spiced Tea

This is an old favorite recipe of the kids & mine.

1 1/3 cups instant Lemonade
1 1/3 cups instant Tea, unsweetened
1 1/3 cups Tang or Orange Drink
1 tsp cloves (optional)
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg

You see two jars here in the picture, one is layered and the other is not, both are the Friendship Tea recipe. I like mixing all the ingredients together and filling smaller jars to give as gifts, this way I don't have to figure out how much of each ingredient to use for smaller jars. So for this recipe I may double or triple my recipe & make more than one jar. Or using the ingredients above layer them in whatever order you want in your jars, of course put the cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg with the tea and layer the rest. If you want, add a cinnamon stick to your jars for some extra flavor. Make sure to either write the instructions on how to mix your tea on a small card to attach to jar or write it right on the lid with a permanent marker.

The recipe for this mix is to: Combine the Spiced Tea mix with hot water to taste about 1 - 2 Tbl. per cup of hot water.

Tater Chip Cookies Mix

2 1/2 cups Flour
1 1/2 cups crushed Potato Chips
1 cup Sugar
2/3 cups Chopped Pecans
1 tsp baking powder

Put sugar in one quart jar first (bottom layer), then add nuts, next potato chips and finally add the flour and baking powder. Pack each layer down before adding the next. On a recipe card write the following recipe to include with the gift jar.

Tater Chip Cookies

1 jar Tater Chip Cookie Mix
2 sticks Butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla

In a large bowl mix together the cookie mix, add butter and vanilla and mix until well blended. Shape into little balls and place about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten each cookie slightly with a fork or your fingers. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool & enjoy.
