Dry Rubs - Gift Jar Recipes

Dry rubs spices are one of our favorites to use at home and make for gifts, especially when you want something different to give to someone. They make great gifts for cooks or even those who just like to barbecue.

To use your rubs just sprinkle some on your meat and lightly rub it on the meat to help it stick to the meat. The meat tastes better/more favorable if you can let the meat set for an hour or more once your rub is on it to let the spices soak into the meat. If you buy meat in bulk and vacuum pack it yourself put your rub on it prior to vacuum packing it the flavors are more intense.

As far as storing your spices, keep them in a well sealed jar, and put in a cool, dry cupboard. Don’t save any of the left over spices once your meat has touched it.
