Candy Cookie Mix and Caramel Chocolate Chunk Bars Mix Gift Jar Recipes

Mix flour, baking power and baking powder together and put in the jar 1st, pack down tightly. A little tip here find a tall skinny bottle to help pack down flour mixture. Also using a wide mouth jar is better, but you can use a regular mouth jar just takes a little more care in adding the the layers. Next add the candies, be careful not to crush the candies. The final layer is the sugar, but before you add it read on. Here's another little trick, as you can see by the picture of the larger jar the sugar just filled all the space between the candies. The gift jar still turned out pretty, but if you want the candy layer to show even better, take a piece or two of wax paper and cut it so it fits on top of the candies, the trick is to make sure it covers the candy without letting the sugar fall through, so the smaller jar in the picture has a piece of paper between the candy and sugar, as you can see the candy layer shows through much better. The choice is yours.

Add the following recipe with your Cookie Mix:

Candy Cookies

1 stick softened Butter
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla

Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl and mix all ingredients together
Add 1 stick butter or margarine (softened), 1 egg beatened and 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix until blended well
Spray your cookie sheets with vegetable oil
Shape your cookie dough into walnut size balls and place a couple inches apart on your baking sheet
Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool before serving.

You could give just the jar and recipe or include it in a mixing bowl or baking sheet. How about tying a cookie cutter or two to the jar.

Caramel Chocolate Chunk Bars Mix

1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup of packed Brown Sugar
1 Cup Chocolate Chunks (or you can use Chocolate Chips)

In a one quart canning jar, layer the ingredients in the order listed above into the quart jar. Remember to pack each layer down before adding the next layer. Put a ribbon around the lid or add a fabric circle & ribbon. Add the following recipe to the jar.

Caramel Chocolate Chunk Bar

1 jar of Caramel Chocolate Chunk Bars Mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup Caramel Ice Cream Topping

Preheat your oven to 350 F. Grease a 13 X 9 baking pan. In a large bowl add mix from the jar and mix well. In another bowl mix the butter until smooth, add eggs and vanilla and beat until blended. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir until well blended. Spread batter in greased baking pan. Drop by spoonfuls the caramel topping over the batter. Take a butter knife and swirl the topping into the batter. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Let Cool. Enjoy!
